On the left picture above you can see the remains of the terrific catastrophe which hit Venezuela in December 1999. The trees were driven by the currents from the Caracas area to this archipelago and also to the Netherlands Antilles. Millions on trunks were floating then through the whole southeastern Caribbean Sea.

On the right you see a lagoon which is located just behind our area. Maybe you can recognize the green roof of our tower within the trees. The second picture was taken from the tower to the point, from where I shot the above picture (View: EAST<>WEST)
